Our Story

Oikos unites these 9 Christian leaders who aim to unite hearts and hands to rebuild St. Louis in the hope that that their partnership would be an ecumenical witness to Christian faith, love of neighbor and a model for collaboration across dividing lines

  • Central Presbyterian Church - Pastor Clay Smith

  • Christ Memorial Lutheran Church - Pastor Jeff Cloeter

  • Covenant Seminary & New City Fellowship - Pastor Thurman Williams

  • Friendly Temple Missionary Baptist Church - Bishop Michael Jones

  • One Family Church - Pastor Brent Roam

  • St. Louis Metro Baptist Association -  Pastor Darren Casper

  • The Crossing Church - Pastor Greg Holder

  • Williams Temple Church of God in Christ -  Bishop Lawrence Wooten

​In their first initiative they raised $2.5 Million and formed a Housing Coalition with

  • Catholic Charities

  • FT Holding Incorporated

  • Lutheran Development Group

  • St. Joseph Housing Initiative

  • Tabernacle Community Development Corp.

  • The FAM

 

Which led to the following Impact

  • 207 Families Served

  • 165 Homes in Progress

  • 100 First Time Home Owners
